Newsstand and Zinio cant download new magazines, but other apps are ok

They both worked fine before, but the past few weeks when new issues come out I tap to download and a "A network problem has occured. Please try again later" or "Wifi Required to Continue. Please connect to Wifi network and try again" message appears. I am conncted to wifi and can go online and download from the App Store. All other apps seems to be able to connect to wifi, so I am not sure what is happening. Please help!

I have this issue as well. Just try out my first newstand purchase and although the Vanity Fair app can images and text of the availble issues to date, it will not download the "actual" issue that I purchased.

It as well keeps popping up "Wi-Fi Required to Continue - Please connect to a Wi-Fi network and try again"

I wonder if this is an itunes account issue somewhere or if this a local iPad issue...

Any thoughts?

Hi Terton,

I'm not sure if you've resolved the issue but I've "seemingly resolved the issue" (at least in my case) and have taken into account one or two things now...

1. My iPad 1 is jailbroken on 5.01. So this may be a DRM issue. Since 5.01 is the first version of the iPad I've jailbroken, I would have experienced this issue before.

2. When I turned on my VPN (I have no idea why this would make any difference) the issue miraculously disappeared and I'm able to download the full magazine. When I shut off the VPN and try again with another issue, it gives the same error.

Sooo... take what I say with a grain of salt but this seems to be my particular case and resolution.

Good luck...
