How do I restore my contacts icon

By mistake I deleted the Contact icon in the Extra folder. How to restore it? Thanks

It's a pre-installed app and therefore cannot be deleted so you may have inadvertently moved it onto a screen or into a folder. Check all screens and folders and do a search in Spotlight, it will tell you if the app it still on your iPhone but unfortunately not where it is. If you find it on one or your screens or in a folder, press the icon until it wiggles and then drag it back to where you want it. Alternatively you can reset your home screen in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

For anyone like me looking for the answer to this since the latest ios upgrade--there is no more utilities folder, either. You will find a folder icon called "extras" instead, Contacts is in there. God knows why.

Probably because it's kind of redundant. You can access your contacts through the Phone app. I have no idea why there needs to be a separate app.

I just noticed this too.....the contacts app is gone. What exactly do you mean "through the phone app"?

The contacts app is not gone. It can't be deleted. It's on your phone somewhere. Under iOS 6, the default location was in the Utilities folder. I think the folder is called something different under iOS 7 but I don't recall. However, you can access your contacts by opening the Phone app and tapping on the Contacts icon at the bottom. It's the little head in the center.

Go to your settings and under reset there is an option to reset your home screen. It will restore your contacts folder. Then as mentioned it will be moved to the extras folder due to the ios7 update. That should work. I jus had the same problem.

I Had the same problem with both the iPhone and the iPad. My Contacts icon was nowhere to be found. I began to unclutter my screens and group related icons into folders. When my screens began to be less cluttered and more organized, the Contacts icon appeared on its own. It was if the Contacts icon had been stuck in limbo between 2 screens and show itself without some kind of screen shift. All is well now.
