I have a mac app update for an app i don't have. Help!!!!

That would be a major paid upgrade, not a free incremental update. Do you plan to buy this next one?

This fix; Spotlight reindexing

# Turn off spotlight.

sudo mdutil -a -i off

# Remove the index files.

sudo rm -rfv /.Spotlight-V100

# Turn on spotlight.

sudo mdutil -a -i on

# Reindex all mounted /Volumes

sudo mdutil -aE

Notice: -a: all disk

Thanks for the tip. I just tried it and it doesn't work. OS X rebuillds the caches alright, but the update for CodeBox does not dissapear from updates.

Same here - you have pirated version of any app, game or OS, and until you find them, and get rid of them, CodeBox will be there.

May I add my two cents here ?

I have exactly the same problem - CodeBox update showing up.

BUT

I have no pirate copy of MacOS (I'm a developer) nor of an App, and when I click "Update", it says "error -4"

So I wonder what it can be. I have Find Any File since long, tried to search for either the name (CodeBox) either the developer's name (Vadim something), and results are "0".

I haven’t checked recently but I seem to recall that quite some time ago EasyFind turned up files that eluded FindAnyFile. You might want to see if you have better luck with Easy Find. It’s at the bottom of Devon Technologies’ download page. I don’t know if there is a difference between the direct downloaded version and the App Store version. I have the direct downloaded version.

I D/L'ded the direct version too - it didn't find any "CodeBox" on my machine either .. :-(

I really wonder where this could come from.

No trace, no lead, no other iTunes/AppStore account which might lead to a pirated app, nothing.

Try reindexing your HDD.

I have the same issue with Angry Birds and it has the Apple ID. Did you figure how to get rid of Angry Birds?

Galaxy on fire 2 HD was also my problem... I deleted it and all its contents and codebox updates stoped

Same here, had this update for Codebox hanging with no way of finding it on my mac or at least hiding the update. Removing the Galaxy of Fire 2 solved it allrigh. Wayii!!

there it go!!! found the problem.. I had de codebox staring on me for weeks and didn't purchase this blood app...
When I saw u saying about "galaxy on fire" I just delete the app and BANG... GONE!!
