How can I find the serial number of my "60w MagSafe Plug", without having it physically?

I have lost my charger of mi PowerBook, and someone else found it, so he asked me for the serial number, but i cant find it anywere.

Can someone help me?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

You can check your receipts and documentation that came with your Mac (PowerBook or MacBook Pro?), but I don't think it's listed. It sounds like he wants "proof" that this is your charger? Maybe you can give him other details such as how/where/when you lost it so as to prove to him that it's yours? Good luck to you. 😉

The magsafe adapters do have a serial number. Unplug it from the wall and slide up the two prong adapter (or whatever configuration your country may use) until it comes off. It is there. That doesn't apply to this situation as you don't have the number anyway. As stated, ask the person who found it if you can describe it to their satisfaction or try and tell them that you aren't trying to take a used charger away from someone else.
