iCloud Backup Error Message

I'm getting a message that says "This iPad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked and connected to Wi-Fi." I've done all this but can't get rid of error message. (In iTunes is says that my iPad was backed up at 1:15 p.m. today!)

Any suggestions how to get rid of this message? I keep hitting OK but it won't go away, and I can't shut down.

iPad 2, iOS 5.0.1
