Returning to Mac Mail (from Postbox)

I need to return to Mac Mail after using Postbox for about a year and a half and I am hoping for some help on how to do this. I have about nine email accounts and signatures etc, etc.

Am I basically /just/ entering all the SETTINGS for my IMAP accounts and my Email Accounts and redoing my Signatures and that is pretty much it? Or is there going to be more to this than that?

THANKS for any help

oh man. thank you /so/ much.

so, yeah if it is all IMAP I guess I just have to email myself my signatures and then enter them into Mac Mail is that right?

can you think of anything else? if I have /stored/ email on the HD I have to work on getting this into Mac Mail via some import procedure explained in Mac Mail Help, yes?

the nine or so emails are like gmail and then two websites i have and these have info@, and job@ and various and sundry that never get used but help me know where things are coming from. Right now I have these ORGANIZED under various "Mailboxes" so that the ones that never get used but might be really important (even if they are from different domains), get organized under /one/ mailbox and then the others go under another and then my workaday (like Gmail and one domain based email) go under another mailbox and I can click on one of the three mailboxes depending on how far into my mail I want to get.

anyway, all this is a major headache to deal with but Postbox appears to have gotten rid of both their ticket based support and their forums which pretty much means I am reading an FAQ when I have a problem (total bummer) and much as I like these guys they want another $10 to upgrade software that I bought when it first came out (a little buggy) - and they don't seem to be able to return the kindness in terms of working with them as they got started.

i mean, i was on Thunderbird and I do like Postbox but they seem to have gone silent on support.

i'm a new mac user (about a year and a half) and I jumped right to Postbox when porting to the mac. time to try Mac Mail and hope I gain a synergy or two that I don't get in Postbox...?

Any cautions on this thought?

Can you not keep Postbox and Mail launched at the same time and copy/paste the sigs from Postbox's preferences to Mail's?

I said in my first post that as long as you weren't interested in importing any mail stored in postbox all you had to deal with were the account setups. If you do have mail stored in postbox (but I thought you said it was IMAP so it should be on the mail server) then I don't know what the procedures are, if any, to export from postbox and import into Mail. I've never use postbox. Don't really use Mail either for that matter (still a Eudora fan).

Sounds to me like you are using different email addresses to help sort them into different categories. What I think is more common is to have a single email address and create filters (Mail calls them "rules") to sort them into different mailboxes based on some criteria in the header, for example, the "from" domain.
