How to get a pie chart to ignore negative values but recognize them when they become positive

I have a spreadsheet that has various values entered from week to week. Of the values entered, I've set up a pie chart to depict those values with a percentage analysis. Some weeks certain values are positive and certain weeks they are negative. However, when the values are negative, the pie chart depicts them as a positive percentage (instead of merely ignoring it). How do I make the proper adjustment to get an accurately depicted pie chart?

Thanks for any assistance,

Jay

Is that my only option? The spreadsheet has already been built, formatted and released for public review. I'd rather not change anything that will affect the look of the spreadsheet. If it is at all possible I'd rather just apply whichever rule is applicable to all of my pie charts instead of having to go back and alter the spreadsheet (because it is an extremely large sheet with several tables). I appreciate your assistance.

Numbers will chart the information that you supply.

If your spreadsheet supplies the negative values, and those values are sent to cells included in the group selected for the chart, then those values, ignoring the sign, will be included in the chart.

If you don't want those values included in the chart, then 'the proper adjustment' is to not supply the chart with those values.

You can do that using Badunit's formula, or this version:

=IF(B<0,"",B)

Different appearance on the table, but the same appearance on the chart as with **'s formula.

You can hide the column after entering the formulas and creating the chart (and be sure to click the "show hidden data" box for your chart). Your table will look exactly as it did before.
