409 Conflict on webcal when trying to delete event

I have a 10.7.3 Lion Server running iCal for our company and I'm having trouble with events that seem to be undeletable. When I load up webcal and try to delete a repeating event, it asks if I want to delete all of them or just the one, I select all and it just spins on Deleting Event. The HTTP logs show the PUT errored out on a 409 Conflict.

iCal lets you delete the event, but really ist just hides it from iCal and its still exists on the server. When the cache refreshes, it'll sometimes pop back up.

Anyone have a fix for this?

The PUT actually reponds with this in the body:

<html><head><title>Conflict</title></head><body><h1>Conflict</h1><p>Resource: /calendars/__uids__/69542AA0-6A09-42CA-94E4-4F2C8E56E144
/calendar/4D0E5CAE-3A58-40C2-9832-091D434C9D49.ics currently in use in calendar.</p></body></html>

Lion Server-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.7.3)
