Why is my HP Deskjet F2180 not working?

Hi there guys,

Fairly new to the whole mac scene so bare with me.

I've got a HP Deskjet F2180 printer and it just isn't talking to my mac, I've tried all sorts of drivers and it still doesn't show up in my printing preferences, I've tried the official HP drivers but the support can't find it and I've tried open source drivers and it still doesn't show up. Now I know the USB ports aren't faulty as my mouse works just fine in them.

Has anyone got any ideas or is it a trip to the Genius Bar for me?
