Q: I cant hear sound from the HDMI cable that supports audio.

Click the 'more info' button and read what it says in light grey letters just under the big black "MacBook Pro". Feb 13, 2012 4:43 PMby Zyriab,HelpfulYou will need to run an audio cable from the headphone socket of the MBP to the audio input of the TV. For the MBP end you need a stereo mini-jack. For the TV end it depends what connectors are on the TV. You will have to have a look on the connection panel on the TV or in the manual to check what you need. You will obviously only get stereo sound, not 5.1 surround sound, using this method.

Feb 18, 2012 2:53 PMby emms30,Sorry to bother you again, but I brought the audio cable for my mac book pro to my TV and still no sound!!! This is getting very frustrating!! I have played around with the settings in system pref. I have restored my TV to factory settings. Dont know what else to try?? Any ideas. Thanks in advance.
