Downloaded movie on ipad but doesn't download onto classic?

My mother bought me four movies on her ipad. We tried to put them on my 7th generation classic ipod. It was saying that it wasn't able to play on my ipod.

This might be because your iPod software is out of date most iPads are on the software 5.0 but some iPods are still in the 4.0 area I believe 4thngeneration is the only iPod touch with 5.0 hope this helps

It's possible that the movies you downloaded are HD. The Classic can't play HD movies.

HD Movies that can play in iPhones, iPad and iPod Touch have higher specs (HD) that can play only iPod Classic (model Late 2009 or later) with firmware 2.0.4.
