It is possible that your Yahoo account was compromised. It is highly unlikely that anything was done through your iPad. Change your Yahoo account passwords post haste.

Thanks for your reply. I suppose it's possible. I changed my password for yahoo but I just thought it was strange that the email that was sent said it was sent from my ipad. So that is not possible?
There is no way to remotely control the iPad. If your Yahoo account was hacked, someone may have picked up one of your more recent emails sent from the iPad, and used the same signature. "Sent from iPad" is just a line of text that is put in there by default by Apple, but can easily be replicated or copied (or changed).
