Feb 13, 2012 9:19 PM in response to jeffr31by Rysz,When you are on the song play progress view with the time display, there are two icons just belw the progress bar, one is for repeat, one is for shuffle. Cycle thru the repeat icon until it's off. Blue is On, white is Off.
It's in the user guide.

Apr 2, 2012 1:05 PM in response to jeffr31by gleem,When I'm in play mode, I don't have the circular repeat/shuffle icons. I looked at page 55 of the users manuel but it looks totally different than mine, so I don't know how to turn the repeat off. I then went to the settings to see if I could do something there, and I didn't see any options for the repeat vs shuffle modes.
Help!! This is driving me crazy! (And, it's been ever since I upgraded to OS 5 something).

Aug 5, 2012 10:40 PM in response to jeffr31by LAOMUSIC ARTS,Hi !
I think this is a bug inside the "Music" app.
I have the same problem here with a brand new iPhone 4S.
First my additional audio controls menu is ALWAYS on (did not dismiss by cliking on it !).Then, whenever I play a song it repeats although the "Repeat" function is off (set to no repeat).
At the top of this, the "Shake for Shuffle" function under Settings is off. -

Oct 6, 2015 6:11 AM in response to jeffr31by Jkm20,OK putting together all the pieces of advice in this thread I figured it out and it worked. First, you cannot fix this problem IN the PLAYLIST. Go to "music" or music library. Tap any song to play. Along the bottom of the screen you see the "player bar." Tap that so the song/player bar goes full page. On bottom left hit repeat button to turn off. You will not see the button unless you make the song go "full screen." again, by doing this is then music library you will fix the problem in your playlists.
