Replacing Apple CD 24X Max Speed CD-ROM Drive

I would like to replace the internal CD-ROM drive in an older eMac. The current drive is Model CR-173-D, manufactured by Matsushita-Kotobudi Industries in Nov. '98. The drive functions very well except for problems with opening/closing the Drive Door. The ribbon cable on the bottom of the door is double backed and affixed to the CD drawer metal housing with clear tape and possible glue. The tape and cable bind against the drawer housing when opening and closing the door.

I need help in finding a replacement internal CD 24X CD-ROM Drive that is form, fit, and function equivalent.
