how to delete video from iphone 4s

Having trouble deleting episodes puchased as video takes up almost all of the available space on my phone? After viewing, I tried to use the "slide finger to the right", but delete does not appear as in iphne 4? Thanks for any help you can provide.

I have the same problem, nearly a year later, upgraded releases of iPhone and iTunes in the mean time. I am specifically trying to delete the two volumes of "Pillars of the Earth".

Newest version of iOS doesn't have "slide to delete", it has an "Edit" button at the top and then little "X" marks appear in the top left corner of each video icon. I clicked the X on the two movies I want to delete, then "Done" with editing. Now the movies are still there, but the "X" is gone!?!?!

I have tried re-synching with iTunes after unchecking the boxes. I have looked at iTunes to see what it thinks is on the iPhone -- and it thinks that volume 2 is on the phone, but volume 1 is not -- iTunes is wrong, they are BOTH on the phone.

How do I get rid of these things?!?!?

You aren't viewing episodes so you can't delete them. Click the icon for the show on the screen you describe. It will take you to the next screen which displays the episodes. That's where you'll slide right-to-left and the Delete option will appear. I just performed this on my iPhone 4s in iOS 7. Essentially, you haven't gone far enough to see the episodes, so it only offers you the option of deleting the show, which is what you're viewing.

THis should have been a response to the original post.
