Ok, I'm totally confused.
I uploaded the files AGAIN with iTunes Producer. Just like the first (and second and third) times, it indicated that the content was delivered successfully. The actions logs indicated the entire package was successfully sent. I used a new book and it has NOTHING to do with the first book I sent which Apple claimed had a problem. This one does not, 100% sure. When I sent it up this time with iTunes Producer, I clicked the "Save and Deliver All" option.
iTunes connect is now showing on my ticket that:
May 1, 2012. From Apple.
The following ticket task(s) have been updated by the feed: Full epub
May 1, 2012. From Apple.
Epub internals validation passed
So it seems to indicate that it got there from iTunes connect as well.
HOWEVER,
on the book itself, it still shows.

That "Last Imported" is what scares me. That's what it has always said regardless of the new versions I sent, and Apple still tells me in each ticker the "original probelm is still there, nothing has changed, sorry 'bout yer luck, see you in another 40 days for the same message."
Is my new file there or not? How do I know? I e-mailed the iBook store "support" people last time I uploaded an update to ask them about this very issue and they told me my book was in the review queue. Never said (not WILL they) if my new version is there.
What's going on?
