In what context are you seeing this? Windows has two "explorers" that come to mind, Windows Explorer which is the Windows file browser and search utility, and of course Internet Explorer.

The Windows File Browser, because I know for a fact it isn't windows explorer for the internet. So where is the File Browser? Thanks

Open My Computer. That window you see? That's the Explorer.

You can also go to Start->Run, type "explorer" and hit Enter.

Sorry, but again, it's unclear what you mean. An iPod is a separate device and can't be "put on an external drive"? Do you mean that you want to move your tracks in iTunes to an external drive? If so, look here:
