updated my Ipod classic but don"t have wall plug, how do I finish update and get rid of plug me in symbol?
How do I finish the update on my ipod classic without a wall plug? all I have is the data cable, not the Apple wall plug!!

What do you mean by the "plug me in" symbol. Is it showing just a plug and no lightening bolt? Showing a solid plug, as opposed to a lightening bolt, isn't saying "plug me in"; it is saying "I'm fully charged". The iPod can charge from the data cable.
The article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1435 from Apple Support shows all the charging symbols. Which one are you seeing?
