Quit Mail.app, launch Safari, go to Safari > Preferences > General > Default web browser. Is the version of Safari currently installed on your machine set there? If no, choose it from the pop-up menu. If yes, choose Select… from the pop-up menu, navigate to Safari, and select it again. Close Preferences, for good measure quit Safari, then try again in Mail. What happens?

Does that mean that you went to Safari > Preferences > General > Default web browser, and you chose Firefox there -- and it didn't work? If no, then try it.
I am having the same problens to add new feeds on Pulp. I saw that when you opened Macrumors feeds and you clicked on "View Feed XML", it shows the adress so you could copy and past on Pulp. But, when I try to do the same I keep getting this message fro Mail: ERROR: No associated application could be found.
What should I do?
Same problem here. I selected Safari 6.0, my current version. Mail still doesn't open links. I also tried selecting Chrome. Problem persists. When I copy/paste the link it has "blocked" inscribed at the beginning of the URL like this:
blockedhttp://www...
So I copy/paste into address bar and erase the "blocked" part and then I can go the address. How can I get Mail to stop blocking the links?
Didn't work, I have to
1. Mouse over the link
2. Click & Hold Control
3. Click Mouse Pad
4. Select Open URL
5. Done!
I tried changing the Safari Firefox Chrome preferences
I tried changing the Mail Preferences
This is like that move vs copy thing Apple has (to my knowledge) not fixed
I don't know what I did but I dont have to 1-5 anymore

I went to mail, moused over a link, clicked option and it open up a new message window, I closed then I straight clicked the link and it opened. Sorry I dont know what I did but the problem is fixed.
