I am trying to rename masters and it comes up with (OSStatus error-43.). I am running Aperture 3 with Snow Lepard.
Macbook 2.4 GHz INtel Core 2 Duo 2GB Memory, Mac OS X (10.6.4)
Error -43 is a file or folder not found error.
Where are the referenced masters stored? What is the format of the HD they are on?

For one, I tried consolidating the masters from the external drive and then relocating them. They still will not rename the master files.
The referenced masters are stored on a partion that is formated as Mac OSX Exteneded (Journaled).
I would start with the library repair steps in Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics permission and library repair.
Was the consolidate and relocation sucessful? Does the error tell you which file it is having problems with? Are any of the masters getting renamed?
