I was recently banned from instagram from what a friend thought would be funny. To the point i have been told that my IMEI has been banned compared to my username email or itunes account . So is there anyway to get a new imei without jailbreaking my phone. Or anyway to be unbanned. Any help appreciated

Talk to the Instagram developers.
And do not go to "jailbreak". This forum follows Apple's wishes and refuses to help with issues that result from jailbreak.

I should have stated it differently: Please do not go to jailbreak.
Too many have posted saying "I jailbroke it and it does not work". I was only trying to provide fair warning.

Tthere's no way to change the IMEI of a phone without doing something like jailbreaking, I believe, in the U.S., it may even be illegal to do so.
In almost every country changing the IMEI number is illegal and in most cases cannot be accomplished. I know that jailbreaking the iPhone will not help you do so.
So whats being said is that if the IMEI is blocked. There is no way getting passed it other than purchasing a new phone

This happened to me. It kept saying account disabled but I was still able to log on using another device. What I did to get it to work again was.... I restored my iPhone as a new iPhone.(make sure you back it up) once the restore is done do not install the back up just yet. Your phone is now basically a new iPhone. go into apps. install instagram. log onto your instagram. once logged on you may now restore your back up onto your phone. when the restore is complete instagram should already be logged on once you open the app. I recommend not signing out ever again because it may say you're banned and you will have to repeat this process.
If the original poster of this more than a year old thread is correct, he was banned based on his IMEI number. The process you describe would not solve that problem. The OP also hasn't been seen in this forum in over a year.
