Buid mSata into a MacBook Pro

No. SATA only.

You can replace the optical drive with an adaptor such as DiskDoubler from OWC so you can install an SSD or another HDD. But mSATA support needs to be on the motherboard.

Not sure the answer is correct - although I have not tried it myself with my 2010 MBP, one review at amazon used this msata to sata adapter (ASIN B004YKJ5TE) to get a msata ssd in a MBP 2011.
