How can I make Safari start my homepage all the time?

I don't like that Safari starts the last page that I was on everytime I run the application. How can I change this so that my default homepage is opened everytime instead?

Go to your Safari menu bar click Safari > Prefrerences then select the General tab.

You can set your home page from there.

If you are running Lion v10.7, disable the Lion "resume" feature...

Open System Preferences > General

Deselect: Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps

BTW... when you post for help, please tell us which Mac OS X you have installed. That really helps.

Hi Hans,

Probably too late to provide you with an answer. I assume you found it already.

But, for those who end up here in search of the same answer I can provide one for the Mavericks (and perhaps Mt. Lion...I don't know as I am not using Mt. Lion).

Click on the Apple icon at the top left of the menu bar.

Click on "System Preferences"

Click on "General"

Check (Turn on): "Close Windows after Quitting an Application"

That should take care of things.

Best, Mr. Luigi
