Is it bad to have goals must I add?
It depends on what they are.
Excuse me,
I have no cover. This is me. Ask anything. Get an answer back. I am persistent in pursuing my goals. Period.
Cheers.
It all depends on if the goals are good or bad.

My last one was an old GI acronym that I had used so fequently I had actually forgetten the correct translation. It has to do with reading manuals. The profanity checker let me get away with it so I thought I was home free. They caught me and delete it.

I guess the "checker" never learned that that third letter translates as "fancy".
Well I shared one with all of you and that is being of higher ranking in the Apple Community world. Thats not so bad. Is it?
Cheers
Im not looking for a reward in suggesting a hated anti- virus software. You should see that by now. I would have never suggested MacKeeper. I knew bad feebback was to flow in
I concur Babowa.
DFTT
I am out of here.

Zombies you say now? Ill have you say I have different mindsets. Not just one in which you would be to consider as MacKeeper. I can suggest many other anti- virus softwares if you like. You seem a bit defensive when it comes to the subject. May I ask, why so?
The fact that rogressivey higher levels require progressively higher point increases should be sign enough that "elevated levels" requires patience. And at times just letting others have their beliefs and moving on.
Stop, observe, learn both facts and how to behave in ways that let others know you want to help instead of overpowering everyone else.
DFTT. Agreed. Happy night to you, and stevejobsfan0123.
Did I not express that here?

I see we have reached a diagreement,
I realize that. If you dont feel MacKeeper is effective, so be it. Try something else. Obviously, you have had bad experiences with the software. If i like it, please dont make an attempt to change my mind on it.
Cheers.
Next time, please do comprehend my words before demolishing them.
Cheers.
To all involved,
I dont mean to make one feel discouraged but I never disagreed with any of your anti-virus software suggestions. You attacked me. Thus, this entire conversation was pointless and if ever to happen again will be hopeless and would aid sheer insanity. I made my points and stated my opinions. Have you ever noticed that I only joined yesterday and could have used some help possibly? With something to think about...
Cheers.
Now that things have calmed down I'd like to go back to a couple of your posts that were in response to something I had said.

I'm not certain that l we necessarily disagree. I never said that MacKeeper wasn't effective and I make it a habit of not making specific recommendations to people unless pressured into doing so. Everybody's situation is different and since I don't know your computer habits or experience I won't ever try to tell you what to do. I prefer to allow folks to become informed by pointing out the best information I know of and let them make up their own minds. My "bad experiences" with MacKeeper had nothing to do with the software and I didn't bring them up in this thread because it's about anti-virus. If there is an opportunity to discuss their aggressive adverting habits or the need for it's other features I will have more to say, but as I said my observations about the anti-virus module were based on version 1 of the software which is nothing like what they have today. I don't know from personal experience anything about their current A-V capability and must rely on third part reports. And the only other thing I wanted to point out to you was that Thomas Reed's evaluation of it's A-V capability met my definition of an independent, valid comparative test. The message you responded to was only to give support to his reputation as a Mac malware expert with some twelve years of experience in the area and in no way should be interpreted to be attempting to change your mind on the use of MacKeeper.

I am not the only one off topic here in this forum. There are many users aspread discussing, now, MacKeeper and how it is such a threat even though I have said to have it for nearly two months with no inconvieniences. I understand as instinct you would want to stand your ground like the rest of the participants but while answering a question on anti-virus software, we are speaking of MacKeeper which is, yes, quite off topic.
I could not follow much of any of this. I never said you were off-topic, I was just trying to convince you that malware and viruses were the same thing and that if we weren't talking about MacKeeper's A-V component, that would have been off-topic.
I understand you and many other users have tested MacKeeper. I, for one, will not trust any test results on the product unless all portions have been clarified and then tested. I prefer to recieve my news from a trusted and reliable station where numourous amounts of people are testing, checking eachother's work, and checking theirs. It is more clear to me that way. When someone says they have tested the program, for all I know they could have just opened it up and ran it on their monitor for a while, recorded effects, and reported them.
Again, my testing was limited to version 1 and has little or no meaning today. That's why I didn't mention my results. But that's also why most of us come to this forum, to learn as a collective body about the experiences of others. As time passes you will come to know who you can trust and who has their own agenda, but that all takes time. If you come across many of my entries you will see me ask for exactly the documentation you outlined, but I have yet to find anything of that nature. I'm a huge Consumer Reports fan, but if you read what they have said to date about computer security software, it's still all about the PC. Perhaps this will be the year they test Mac A-V products.
