I just bought a new MacBook Pro as my old Power Mac G5 died on me a couple of months ago. I have been using the cinema display from the old G5 as the main monitor (using an Apple.mini-DVI.to.DVI.Adapter for connection) However just recently, as the desktop image replaces the blue screen on startup I've noticed a strange fleeting pattern of black and white dots. It all works fine after that - but......
From past experience, I hate anything unusual happening on any of my Apple kit and wonder if I have not connected it properly or, like the old G5, it is about to die??????
Anyone suggest anything that might be happening?
