sync multiple iphoto libraries?

I have multiple iphoto libraries. My iPad has 2000 + photos from my 2011 library but I would like to add 500 or so from my 2012 library. I fear if I sync with the smaller library, the 2000 will be taken off.

How do I the sync to get the comb I want?

Thanks.

The ideal way is to combine the libraries into one - and yes - if you sync with the second one - the first one will be removed. The iPad is designed to sync with one iTunes library and one computer only.

There are third party apps that will let you transfer photos - but it could take a while to transfer 500 photos. Here is one - PhotoSync.

You can transfer the photos from another library using iTunes if you manage the content manually, but that is a drag and drop process and would take time as well. This kb article describes the process.
