ddos attack, ddos attack
I believe I have just gotten a ddos or dos attack. I really don't understand what this is but my quick research makes it sound bad. What do I do about it?

What symptoms lead you this belief?

I received an unknown email that directed me to the following website: http://crimsontide.pyna.pl/wp-content/themes/Gry/facebook.php?slightly128.gif
Instead of opening it, I googled www.crimsontide.com and found a page that told me that if I could see the page, apache, etc was working. When I googled to see what that was, the number 1 result was a screen shot of the page that I went to and described it as a ddos or dos attack.
Further searches on google about what in the world those were made me head directly here. I admit to beiing completely unsophistocated about computer technology.
Right now, Google Calendar, synced to iCal through my iPhone is flooding my inbox with alerts that go back several weeks,
Found the statement that scared me without going back to that website. It said:
Great Success! Apache is working on your cPanel® and WHM™ Server |
