InDesign CS5.5 Keeps Crashing on Startup

Anyone having trouble with InDesign CS5.5 crashing on startup after installing OS Lion....

please do the following:

1. Run Uninstall on InDesign CS5.5

2. go to your User/Library/Preferences and delete the folder called "Adobe InDesign" this will be invisible after loading Lion.

so you'll have to show invisibles by going to your terminal window and typing

open terminal and type:

defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE

and now relaunch finder by typing

killall Finder

done.

3. Re-install InDesign CS5.5 and it will work.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

Does this work with all CS5.5 Apps? I am having major issues with CS5.5 Design Standard on 10.7.3

Just for anyone reading, while the terminal change will show the Library folder, it's not necessary unless you want all invisible files permanently shown. Hold down the Option key and choose the Go menu in Finder. The user Library file will be shown and can be selected, without needing to make any changes via Terminal.

It might be worth a try. Deleting the prefs won't hurt. And yeah do what Dave says about the library. I didn't know you could do that. Pretty cool. Thanks, Tim

Exactly the same problem happening to me, only now CS4 doesn't work now running Lion either ... think I'll have to go back to Snow Leopard until this problem gets fixed...whether its by Apple or Adobe...
