will my mid 2010 imac work with airplay mirroring?
I have a 27-inch, Mid 2010 iMac w/a 3.2 Ghz Intel Core i3. Will it do AirPlay Mirroring w/Mountain Lion later this year over the Apple TV?
iMac (27-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.3)

Unfortunately, nobody knows this until Mountain Lion is released and/or its specs and capabilities are publicly announced.
Hmm....
I read on Macworld that mirroring will only work with 2nd gen Intel core processors. How can I tell if my i3 is 2nd gen or not?
Well, Intel core processors have been used since 2006, and Core 2 Duo's since 2007 so I'd say your machine is at least 2nd? But again, I don't know what the exact system requirements will be, so you will have to be patient...
According to this article, second gen intel processors weren't even talked about being released until the beginning of 2011: http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/article/intel_unveils_second_gen_core_processor_l ine_up/
Really - ha, I thought they called the Core 2 Duos second generation (to differentiate from the Core Duos)....... so much for that thought...... having said that, I can't imagine an OS release with a feature that will only work on the current generation? They even made AirDrop compatible with older machines (2 + years old).
If you have an iPad 2 you can buy the app splashtop. Then hook up your iPad to hd tv and use splash top to see computer on iPad. The computer should be mirrored on tv.
