I have PowerMac G4 733 Mhz running OS X version 10.4.11. I also have a new mac mini and while trying to transfer data I discovered that migration assistant will not work. I am unable to use "Target Disk Mode" (TDM). The PowerMac will not go into TDM via holding the "T" key while powering up and selecting the TDM in the startup disk window will only shut off the computer. Any suggestions?

On the G4, is the Hard Drive Master on the main IDE bus? If not it can prevent TDM.
