logic pro digi 001

how do you make the digi 001 interface work with logic? Help please!!

You just need to download the digidesign standalone
core audio driver for tiger from the digidesign website. Install it and then choose digi001 in the "audio hardware
and drivers" section of the logic preferences.

digi's core audio driver 7.0.0 doesn't see the 001 anymore. 6.9.2 does.

anyone wanna start a software company that sells their own up-to-date drivers for other peoples' legacy products???

don't know how many other companies there are out there that screw their customers quite like digidesign did with the digi001.

I have an 001 and it's just sitting around because none of the drivers digi offers actually work for it.

I have to agree, digi shafted the customers pretty good with the 001. That's the last digi box I ever buy.

Tiger don't support DIGI001!

Pro Tools LE 6.1.2 for Mac OS X 10.2
Pro Tools LE 5.3.1 for Windows XP
Pro Tools LE 5.1.1 for Mac OS 9
Pro Tools LE 5.1.1 for Win 98 SE/Me

You can only use till the 6.4 on OSX3.9

If better you change your sound-card
If u want you can upgrade DIGI001 to DIGI002 with few money if u like digidesign.
Visite digidesign web or call a dealer.

I suggest to u to by a mBox used or mBox2 to have protools compatibility
and buy a new sound card like M-AUDIO or MOTU if u want to have good goal with logic. Digidesign with logic is not the best unless u by HD serier but it's very expensive for u..i think ..

hello otto , i tried to use the 6.4 when i first got logic and it worked fine . But when I try to use this time around , it did nothing ,\. does quicktime play a big roll in using logic with the Core Audio?

Even if you updated the drivers, how would you get that 001 card into the firewire port on your G5?!

Rolling your system back to spec is probably a good idea, if you've got to use the legacy hardware you should kind of expect to use the legacy software.

the 001 DOES WORK in Tiger, up to 6.9.2cs on my mac. i use the standalone version. my mac is dual boot and has the latest firmware. haven't updated PT since 5.1. the 001 was designed to work with the AGP Graphics card models, and might be the reason people have trouble with other models. i don't think quicktime is a factor as i'm using the next to latest update in osx. in os9, i don't know what version qt is.the 001 doesn't happen with the recent CAD 7.0.0., thou. this could be a bug as i've seen posts where it doesn't work with the 002.
i have other converters which sound "better" than the 001, and i generally only monitor thru it when i want to check a mix for commercial release. it's sort of a "worst case scenario" box for me now. i maintain it by using the "digitest app" in os9.
