I totally agree. Lion *****!!!! I've always been impressed by Apple but Lion has really turned me off. Its non-support of applications that worked PERFECTLY before, with no warning!!! is just wrong and downright rude! I hope this "new" OS is a total re-do.

Do you think Apple is going to go insane and put Rosetta back, or something?

The Mac has been Intel since *2006*. It is not up to Apple to maintain a translation layer forever so that you can continue to use obsolete software.

If you don't like Lion (and many don't) just go back to Snow Leopard. It will probably work perfectly for several years into the future.

Yes, but only if you sign up for a apple developer account for $99 a year. If you don't want to spend $99 dollars every year, you can just wait for Mountain Lion to come out, but let me warn you that it is a possibility that if you don't install Lion now that your computer will be incompatible with Mountain Lion

(it is a VERY VERY SMALL CHANCE that that will happen though)

Our friend "AppleEvangelist" stated "I for a voice of one is eagerly awaiting the release of ML. In fact so much that I would pay handsomely for the priveledge of downloading it nd beta testing it! It would still be cheaper than any MS upgrade!"

$99 isn't really paying handsomely, but living on the bleeding edge of Apple software development can be quite "interesting".

You can't just take off Lion. You'll need your Snow Leopard disc, something most of us don't have or the entire Snow Leopard backup. If you have either, than you can format your computer and add back all the Snow Leopard goodies

Firstly you should ALWAYS have current backups of your system. If your Mac came with Snow Leopard, then it came with the DVD. If you do not have Snow Lion, then you can simply buy the Disc for about $30 from Apple. If your Mac came with no Discs, then there is a fair chance you cannot run SL on your Mac anyway, only Lion. Advancing to Mountain Lion I believe will be cheap and as easy to install as Lion.

Good Luck
