I my work schedule in the calendar on my iPhone4S (iOS 5.0.1) earlier today.  While trying to review when I work, I saw all 5 calendar events get deleted.  There are no longer any events on the days that I added work to my calendar.  Anyone else experience this and know how to fix it or recover the events? This is the second time my work schedule has been deleted right in front of my face on my phone.

Are these events older than 2 weeks ago?  If so, check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>scroll down to Sync in the Calendars section and set it to a longer time period.

Nope, the soonest event that I entered is for this Sunday (3 days from now).  Everything that has been deleted is my work schedule for the upcoming week.  I don't mind if my past events are being deleted, but I just want to recover the future events that have been deleted.

OK, that's a mystery.  You could try stopping the Calendar app, followed by resetting your phone.  Double-tap the home button, locate the Calendar app (swiping if necessary), tap and hold the icon until it jiggles, tap the red minus sign.  Now reset the phone by holding the on/off and home buttons simultaneoulsy 10-20 seconds until you see the Apple logo (ignoring the off slider that appears first), release and wait for the phone to restart.  You won't lose any data.  This may fix the Calendar but probably won't restore any missing events.

Yeah, I did that the first time it deleted my work schedule a few weeks ago but it did deleted my events again today.  It's very weird because one second I see the dots on the days that I was supposed to work and then all of a sudden, all of the dots that I added today disappear.

same problem....i was adding another event to my calendar...after i finished putting in the event all my future events that i had entered got deleted, i am confused to how they got deleted since i did not push any delete button, only  a few random events from the past and future was saved.....extremely frustrated as i had important dates and reminders set!!!!!!!!!!

This happened to me today using Week Cal. Mine had something to do with backing up with iCloud. Originally in settings I had my email account as the selected calendar to sync with. If you are backing up with icloud, try going to settings, then select to sync with iCloud Home. I also found a load of settings I didnt even realize were within the app itself since the latest update. Hopefully this works for some of you. I can relate to the frustration of losing all your important dates, which is why I like to back my data up. Good luck.

Hi, I just had the same thing happen to me.   I was adding a new event to my calendar and all of a sudden the screen went entirely white.  All other aspects of the phone were fine.  When I returned to the calendar it was still white, so I shut off and restarted my phone and the only events that reappeared are random repeating events I had previously input.  All of the other data is gone.  So frustrating.  Does anyone have any updated information on how to restore the lost information?  Please help!

This is happened to me about 3 times, since I got my iphone last December and I don't know how to correct it or why it happens.  My phone is fully charged and I go to my calendar and everything past and future in all 5 calendars is gone.  This does not happen during a sync, though I have set the sync to all events just in case.  It is driving me crazy and I can't figure why it is happened, but I'd love a fix.

I've called twice to ask for help with this and they say they don't know what causes it and they haven't heard of anyone else having this problem.  I've also been told they look for help with issues on these forums and I should check on here.  It's pretty funny that there are 50 people having issues with this and NO ONE from Apple has come onto this forum to help with a response.  Thing I might switch to android.

This happens to me INCESSANTLY.  I'm looking at my calendar events one second, and POOF!, the next second all of the events I've entered into the calendar- with the exception of birthdays that are on the actual contact information for a person- are GONE.  My calendar settings are set to sync all events- no timeframe- and always have been.  This happened to me nonstop on my old iPhone 3GS, and I was sure it was the phone causing this issue.  Now, I have my new iPhone 5 in my hands and same ol'   , different equipment.  I have done EVERYTHING I can think of to prevent this from happening or to restore the data- including rebooting, holding home button and on/off at same time, etc.- and NOTHING works to restore the data.  And then, just as magically as the data disappeared, POOF!- the data is back randomly sometime later.  That "later" may be 5 mins, a day, several days.  This is an absurd and EXASPERATING glitch that APPLE NEEDS TO FIX IMMEDIATELY!!!  I'm starting to hate the iPhone and Apple in general when I continuously experience HUGE glitches like this that have a profound impact on what you're trying to accomplish within a feature that you DEPEND on... yet Apple has "never heard of that problem before".  You suck, Apple.  Don't send your problems out into the real world, to users who just gave you $800 for another glitchy piece of equipment that never solves your software issues.

I find unreliability in technology and my iPad 2 in particular to be annoying and upsetting. I rely on being able to look back on events is in previous months and mine have all deleted, except for repeat anniversaries. For my part I'll use my old Folofax paper diary from now on.

Did you tried to search (I mean to use the search field) for the missing events?

Also try to add same "test" events on your browser at
