I cannot get connection lines to work in iPad pages. when connecting two shapes, the border will not turn blue as the help documentation suggests it should. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I have exactly the same problem. I have tried on both iPad and iPhone with The same results. I'm wondering if it is a bug or if the implementation has changed.
I solved this one after much frustration. If shapes are wrapped to be in line with text, you cannot join them with the connection line. You need to choose the shape, go to the paintbrush icon at the top of the page, and choose wrap, then turn off move with text on the next dialog box. Not terribly obvious, but got there in the end!
Great Jamie. Thanks for The hint. I have revisited the documentation and it says that in-line objects cannot be connected. However thia subject is not explicit as it seems that the writer thought it was too obvious to not make it colear enough.
