How can i get my iphone 4s unlocked with the unlock code? I talked to my Sprint customer service and they told me that only apple can give me the unlock code so i should sort things out with apple. What can i do? (My iphone 4s is locked on Sprint carrier). I know that i should pay a fee for the unlock code!

Only the Carrier to which the iPhone is locked can unlock it.
Contact Sprint - they may or may not offer unlocking. Apple
cannot help you - unlocking is up to the Carrier to which the
iPhone is locked. You were misinformed - try a different
Spring customer service representative or the Sprint website.
Unlock code?
Sprint has a policy where they unlock the SIM in your 4S (if you did not purchase it on launch since Sprint re-locked their SIM), providing your account is in good standing, and is for travel purposes only. Sprint will have to unlock your device, because they send the unlock request to Apple. An Apple store won't unlock the device for you. I believe you have to have the device for <90 days, correct me if I am wrong.
