Ipad 2 Crashed to Black Screen w/ Apple logo
After I finished watching a video on my Facebook app, my Ipad crashed and went to a black screen with the Apple logo in the middle, and is now stuck. What do I do?

HOld down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen - ignore the red slider bar.

I did that, and this is what happened:
The Apple logo went away as if the Ipad turned off. When I turned it back on, the logo was bright, then it dimmed out and was stuck again. 😟
Before you do anything further, make sure that you charge the iPad battery for a while - if it does not have a sufficient charge already.
It sounds like maybe a restore of the iPad is in order. You may want to give that a try now. This kb article explains how to restore your iPad. You will want to backup the iPad first.

If the iPad ins not recognized in iTunes - try Recovery Mode.
Hey there. After about 5 times trying this and just letting my Ipad sit, it finally recovered and restored. Thanks a lot!
Sometimes it can take a few attempts and I have no idea why that is - but I just didn't think to let you know. Anyway, I'm glad that you finally were able to restore your iPad.
