I don´t know my 4 digit passcode for security settings and can´t get hold of anyone at apple to help. The security is set on but I don´t remember doing this.

I purchased an ipod in January for my son. We have experienced a problem with purchasing in apps. Subsequently I contacted Apple and they suggested making sure restrictions are enabled to avoid this happening in the future. They are already set on and to get into the settings a 4 digit passcode is required. It seems that at some time the passcode must have been set but none of us remember setting it so we have no idea how to establish what it is.

Can anybody help?

I have also removed the banking details to avoid any possibility that somebody has gained access to this informaion.

If I can prove the settings are on then I have more evidence to request a refund because the apps were not purchased by our son.
