Feb 17, 2012 10:20 AM in response to Indian0210by The Huntress,It should be noted that Siri is still beta and Apple have made no announcement as to which additional languages will be supported in the next update. The only announcement Apple have made on their web site is that in 2012, Siri will support additional languages, including Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Italian and Spanish, so we will all have to wait until the next update to see if any further languages are released. I do not know where you heard the rumour that Siri would support an Indian accent but you were clearly misinformed and Apple in all likelihood did not 'drop' anything as it was probably never intended. Under the Terms of Use of this forum it is prohibited to speculate or engage in rumour about product releases and your post is an example of why it is prudent not to engage in or listen to rumour. Finally, when you purchased the 4S, you purchased it knowing full well what languages it supported and that it was in beta. Apple or fellow users on this forum cannot be held responsible for a decision you made based on information readily available on their web site.

Feb 17, 2012 10:43 AM in response to Indian0210by The Huntress,I'm afraid no one here is likely to be able to answer that question as we are just fellow users like yourself and must wait to see what Apple releases. What is known is that the more you use Siri, the better it will understand you. It does this by learning about your accent and other characteristics of your voice. Siri uses voice recognition algorithms to categorize your voice into one of the dialects or accents it understands. As more people use Siri and it’s exposed to more variations of a language, its overall recognition of dialects and accents will continue to improve, and Siri will work even better. I have attached the supported document where I ttook this information from, and hopefully it will help you http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4992
