Is Motorola RAZR V3c from VerizonWireless compatible iSync

Is the Motorola Razr V3c or any Motorola Razor V3 from Verzion (CDMA) compatible with iSync? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Umm, yes and no. The only V3 RAZR explicitly supported by iSync is the GSM version fielded in the US by Cingular, and usable on the T-Mobile network.

That said, there are workarounds.

While this has nothing to do with synchronization, it is an issue for Verizon subscribers and may well be one for you too: the V3c is a V CAST device, and as such, cannot be used as a CDMA wireless modem to connect to the internet. Many Verizon-supplied mobile handsets and smartphones do include a DUN - or, Dial Up Networking - profile, but V CAST devices do not. I mention this because the lack of DUN support is a 'deal breaker' for many Verizon subscribers.

With regard to iSync, you'll need to use a plug-in to provide the additional support needed. Nova Media provides a package of such plug-ins, but the current paid package does not appear to contain support for Motorola handsets, though such support simply may not be listed in the documentation. Their FREE package does include specific support for your V3c, but it does not appear to be available for download at the present time. Send me a message, and I'll reply with a copy of the FREE package.

This was posted elsewhere and it works perfectly...contacts, calanders, etc.

Apple has not added support for this phone yet in iSync.

For those who cannot get iSync working with their V3c, below is a modified version of iSync 2.1.1 application including V3c RAZR support. Be sure to backup your iSync by zipping it or copying it to another folder. Then unzip the following file and move the iSync.app to your /Applications folder. Once done, re-pair your BT device and run iSync. Add device in iSync and your V3c should be supported!

Hi Michael: Can you send me a copy of the free & fee based Nova. I just bought a pink rzrvc3 for my wife. It syncs the address book, but it does not allow me to download photos. I get the following error "Device does not have neccesary services" My grey rzrvc3 works just fine. I bought it in Dec. I used howrd forums to get it to work. Tried it on the pink rzrvc3 and it did not work???

Can you help?
