will a magic mouse work on a late 2005 powermac G5 and if so how?

It depends how much functionality you want/need..


Apple Magic Mouse requires:

  • A Macintosh computer with built-in Bluetooth.
  • Mac OS X v10.5.8 Leopard with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0 or Mac OS X v10.6.1 Snow Leopard with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0.
    Note: Momentum scrolling supported only on Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard.
  • Two AA batteries (included). See Apple Wireless Keyboard and Mouse: How to install batteriesto learn how to replace the batteries.
