Feb 18, 2012 9:53 PM in response to Tesseraxby Rockapulco,Thanks for the response but nothing works. I have spent hours trying everything, including going back to Airport 5.6 (?). I wonder if maybe the issue is that I bought the Time Capsule in Houston, Tx. and am using it on a TelMex Fiber Optic internet system here in Acapulco? I know that my Apple TV would not operate with Netflix Mexico. I called and Netflix had an opinion (after trying so many things to get it to work) that, by process of elimination, the problem had to be that the Netflix servers did not recognize a US Apple TV trying to use a Mexican IP. I then called Mex City Apple store and we did a full RESTORE on the Apple TV...which changed the US Apple TV magically into a Mexican Apple TV somehow. Anyway, it works fine now with Netflix and I wonder if that may be the issue with Time Capsule. I also have Airport Express which I use in some hotels to create a wi-fi network in the room. It works everywhere---except when I tried it here with my router, it did not work either. This is pretty weird stuff---I don't think that it is supposed to be this difficult to get Time Capsule up and running. I am to the point of stomping it to death---at least that may give me some vindication after what it has put me through these last two days:)

Just to be sure I understand. Are you saying that even if you connect a computer directly to one of the LAN ports of the TC, you are still not able to access it with the AirPort Utility?
By default, the TC will broadcast an unsecured wireless network with a Network Name of something like: Apple Network NNNNNN. It will also provide network clients connected to it either by wire or wireless with IP addresses in the 10.0.N.N range. When you connect your computer to it directly, you may need to temporarily change your computer's IP address to be in that same range ... but only if your computer is using a static IP address. Most, by default are DHCP clients and would get their IP addresses from the router.
