It tends to be third-party apps only. This is caused when you plug your iPhone into your computer, using iTunes. You may not be logged-in into iTunes with your account, therefore iTunes doesn't recognize which account your apps were downloaded from, or the app store (on your iPhone) just needs a little refreshing. What you need to do is, update an app on your iPhone, or just download a new one. Whatever it takes to re-log into your app store account.

My iPhone is doing the same with 3 of my apps, I don't connect my iPhone to any computers, the only backup I have is iCloud. It happened only once or twice before ios6 update but since the update its happening 2-3 times per app, I may be misunderstanding the answer to the post, if I don't hook up to a computer I can't fix it is that correct?
