After a short test I want to revert to iChat, however the iChat Application has been overwritten. Can I just restore the Application or do I have to restore other files/folders to get the settings buddy lists etc.?

I have managed to get back to iChat, however the new iOS 6 upgrade has reintroduced iMessages but it appears to be working much better that before.
I am still using OSX 10.7.5 not planning to update to OSX 10.8 yet.
Uninstall Messages Beta and reinstall iChat
