Jul 9, 2016 2:49 AM in response to going.gonz20by Luis Sequeira1,If you export a master file (not sure about the terminology in FCP7) in full quality ProRes you can create an H264 version right in the Finder: control-click, Services, encode selected video files. Perhaps more importantly, what is the frame size if your project?

The OP was asking about exporting from Final Cut (7, apparently). What does dvd have to do with it?
And although one may add such movies to the iTunes library, it is more likely that one does not want to.
I often watch videos on my iphone that I subsequently delete and never put them in the iTunes library.
I just use iTunes to drag them to the iPhone from the Finder.

Jul 9, 2016 10:01 PM in response to going.gonz20by fox_m,If you have WiFi set up, using AirDrop works very well (and it avoids iTunes!)
On your iPhone, swipe up from the bottom and tap on AirDrop and select Everybody.
In the Finder, select Go > AirDrop.
When the AirDrop finder window opens, if you don't see your phone click the Turn on WiFi button (you can do this even if you have an ethernet connection normally open without changing your default settings).
When your Mac is connected via AirDrop, you should see your iPhone's "avatar" in the AirDrop window. Simply drag and drop your video from the Finder onto your iPhone avatar. The video will end up in your Camera Roll (which will automatically launch with the uploaded video ready to play.)
If you have AirDrop already set up with your iPhone, you can select the video file in the Finder and click on the Share button
at the top of the folder window and select AirDrop from the drop down menu. When the dialog box opens, select the iPhone avatar... Done. -
Jul 10, 2016 12:44 AM in response to fox_mby Luis Sequeira1,Thanks for your explanation about Airdrop, it is a really great feature. I would not have thought of that, because I'm still using my trusty old 4S, but that is a great option if the hardware supports it.
