Does Bluetooth work for you in Skype for iPhone?

My Bluetooth headset, a Plantronics Pro+, works well with all apps on the iPhone 4, but doesn't work with Skype 3.6.1. Does it work for you? If so, I'd like to know if there are any tricks you have discovered to make BT work.

I sent a message to Skype Support about this. Support directed me to delete the app from my phone, and to re-install. I did, and the BT headset worked on the first call I made to the Skype test number, but it did not work for any subsequent calls. BT appears in the pop-up menu, but I cannot select it– the app reverts to the phone's earpiece.

Now Skype Support suggests I reset the phone and then restore. I think this means they have no idea.

Does anyone have a clue?

I have exactly this problem, and a few additional observations. First, if there are any background apps (such as Phone) running it is impossible to switch to Bluetooth in Skype. If all background apps are closed it is occasionally possible to switch to Bluetooth. In the normal "phone" mode, Bluetooth works properly.

I do not have any type of workaround that allows Bluetooth to be used with Skype at this time. For the record, I am using Skype for iPhone 3.7.40 on an iPhone 4S with a Plantronics Discovery 975 headset.

I would also like to know what others have learned regarding this problem.
