hi every1 thanks for the replys found out through another sourse that it poss ccould be ois5 as there is 2 ois5 updates as this quote from another site says about the bluetooth problems

We went to the apple store and made an appointment with the genius bar. The "genius" informed us that there was an update for the phone that was only available at the store. Apparently our phones have version 5.0.1 and apple came out with a 2nd version with same exact update number 5.0.1, soo if you connect your iPhone to your iTunes, it will think you are already using the most up to date version.

its a pitty that apple cant sort things out a bit faster

Apparently your reading comprehension leaves something to be desired.

There is nothing in iOS5 or any version of iOS for that matter that makes FM transmitters work or not work. There is nothing that Apple needs to address. Anyone that told you an iOS 5 issue existed, was simply trying to get rid of you and not deal with your issue.

Stop being so gullable and frankly so dense.

The iPhone, like all phones, simply outputs audio to the headphone jack. It could care less what is plugged in. Address the issue with the manufacturer of the FM transmitter.
