do anybody have this problem i bought a fm transmitter for my iphone 4 and it does not work i have heard that ois5 could be the problem is there a fix 4 this or have i wasted £13 on something that is never going to get changed or is someone using a transmitter that work with ois 5
iPhone 4, iOS 5.0.1
There are 2 versions of 5.0.1, the original (build 9A405) and a "slipstream" build 9A406, which fixes a couple of obscure problems, none of which have anything to do with your FM transmitter. If you really want 9A406 anyway, connect your phone to your computer and click the "Restore" button in iTunes.
hi every1 thanks for the replys found out through another sourse that it poss ccould be ois5 as there is 2 ois5 updates as this quote from another site says about the bluetooth problems
We went to the apple store and made an appointment with the genius bar. The "genius" informed us that there was an update for the phone that was only available at the store. Apparently our phones have version 5.0.1 and apple came out with a 2nd version with same exact update number 5.0.1, soo if you connect your iPhone to your iTunes, it will think you are already using the most up to date version. |

Apparently your reading comprehension leaves something to be desired.
There is nothing in iOS5 or any version of iOS for that matter that makes FM transmitters work or not work. There is nothing that Apple needs to address. Anyone that told you an iOS 5 issue existed, was simply trying to get rid of you and not deal with your issue.
Stop being so gullable and frankly so dense.
The iPhone, like all phones, simply outputs audio to the headphone jack. It could care less what is plugged in. Address the issue with the manufacturer of the FM transmitter.
I don't understand your comment. You tried a Restore and you got a message saying something was non-compatible? What was non-compatible? Was there an error number? Do you have the latest version of iTunes (10.5.3)?
Hi sorry was annoyed with what the other person said about me anyway I did a hard reset and it still didn't work then got a message from the ppl who make the transmitter saying it may not be compatible thanks for your help and sorry for the confusion
Address it with whomever makes the FM transmitter.
Apple has nothing to do with this based on the information provided so far.
Fm transmitteres works without software or any relation to the device
They work the same if you connect it to iPhone or a walkman fRom The 80s or tO a mic or electRic guitar
good luck with all that, i'm sure it will solve your fm transmitter problem.
