How can I recreate "Automatically Add to iTunes" folder?

In the process of moving my music over to a new Mac Mini, I accidentally deleted the "Automatically Add to iTunes" folder in my Music folder. Is there any way to restore this? I already tried simply putting a folder in there with that name, didn't work. I also tried reinstalling iTunes, which also did not work.

Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

One reference I read said it would be created again the next time you start iTunes. Another reference said you can make a new folder in the iTunes Media folder and name it exactly Automatically Add to iTunes (letter case is important). Another reference says that doesn't work and only the iTunes application installer can make it and you need to re-install iTunes.

Let me know how it works out for you.

iTunes should create the folder when it starts if the folder doesn't already exist. Possible reasons for it not doing so would be permissions related. Your account and system should have full access to the entire iTunes folder.

I can't test the precise behavior of the Mac version, but on Windows switching languages produces differently named folders, so that could be another way to trigger the creation. Temporarily switching the location of the preference for the media folder (not consolidating files) and then switching back again also ought to force iTunes to create the folder.

Note the Automatically Add to iTunes folder is created as a subfolder of the designated media folder under iTunes Preferences > Advanced. depending on the precise steps you've used to migrate your library this setting might not be what you think it is.
