How can I connect my Macbook Pro to the HDTV?
I have an early 2008 MacBook Pro and want to connect via hdmi to an HD TV. As the Mac is without a Mini Displayport, how can I do this?
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8), Samsung HDTV w/ HDMI

That's probably easier to do on an '08 MacBook Pro because it has a DVI display port. This should be the cable you need. If you want a longer cable, look around on Newegg.com; they have more than enough options.

The OP will also need an audio cable, DVI is video only.

If this won't do the job properly, there is also the option (much more expensive, though) of these four:

I purchased a converter from Monoprice: Mini Displayport and USB to HDMI. I think I need DVI and USB to HDMI. So far, no luck turning one up on Monoprice.
