Your Express may be too far away from the TC... Experiment...
Generally you want the Express to get a good signal and then broadcast the signal to other rooms.
Example:
Main Base Station --------------> Extended Base Station ----------------> Back Rooms
Not like this:
Main Base Station -------------->Extended Base Station in Back Rooms... (unless of course the base station has a good signal)....

Disregard the WDS as Extended is basically the same thing in the newer base stations except the signal doesn't drop in half like WDS does...
