Anyone have issues with netflix programs pausing mid stream on apple tv?

I have the same problem.
Netflix not only pauses, usually stops altogether and then eventually says it's "not available". The only solution I've found is to unplug, wait a minute and then start over, but its very annoying. Often happens every 10 mins or so.
I have this problem as well. The movie starts pretty good for about 1/2 hour, then pauses (buffering), then starts, then stops, then starts.............all the way thru the movie. Worse than commercials. I am going to call support and see what they have to say. I had reserched this a bit awhile ago, and it seems to be a problem for many. Most say it is an Apple problem, not Netflix.
More than likely your problem is with your internet speed and how much bandwidth you have available. If you are on DSL, this problem can be quite common. Cable modems generally allow a lot more bandwidth which is very necessary for streaming. I have the 12Meg plan so that I can stream and I have no problems. Also have to keep in mind if while you are trying to watch your Apple TV if there are any other internet devices trying to pull from the internet. That will slow it down as well and cause your buffering issues.
I'm having similar problems -- and it is not my internet speed. I've been using Netflix on AppleTv for 10 months and haven't had any issues until yesterday when I upgraded to 5.1.1.
Like others, I've found that unplugging my AppleTv and then re-plugging it gets AppleTv working again -- but only for 5 - 30 minutes.
I've resorted to watching Netflix on my iPad. Really hope Apple fixes this problem soon!!!!
We have the same problem. Apple TV pauses every 1-3 minutes, buffers, then continues with our Netflix movie. It is NOT our network speed or connection as we can watch this thrugh our Roku box just fine. Checked all settings and no back ups or down loads are in progress.
Called support last night but they are closed for the holidays. Have to wait until Wednesday:(

Not so - we switched to our Ruku player and watched several movies just fine!
As Jody clarified, it's not a Netflix problem. (For instance, while my Apple Tv was notworking, I was watching Netflix on my iPad.)
This evening I hooked my Apple Tv into my computer and restored it for the third time using iTunes. So far I haven't had any glitches tonight (I've watched two episodes of Dexter and one of Mad Men). Here's hoping the problem is fixed...
